Gingerbread Everywhere
Gingerbread is one of the top themes for 2023 and one that little children will love. Many people are choosing to focus on the idea of something cosy and comforting, and what encompasses both of these things more than traditional gingerbread? Plenty of people this year are choosing to decorate their homes either with gingerbread itself in various shapes and sizes such as houses and people! While gingerbread is a pretty traditional way of decorating, it’s something a little different from recent years.
You can decorate your gingerbread with reds, whites and greens, ensuring that they look as festive as possible. If you're going to be baking your own, then your home is going to have that wonderful smell to it as well, adding to the vibe as a whole.
Delightful Door Displays
Early Hours
This year is going to mark bigger and better festive door displays. In recent years due to COVID-19, a lot of people have been more subtle with their decorations when it comes to the outside of their home, but this is not something that you can expect this year. No, this year the door displays are back in full force and they are gorgeous! This is certainly a bandwagon that you should jump on if you have not already done so!
Whether you’re going to be making use of a door bow, or multiple door bows, things like garlands and over-the-top tree looking objects, it’s bound to be fantastic. The theme this year seems to be the bigger the better, so go big!
A Blast From The Past
Craftberry Bush
It would appear that a lot of people are taking it back to basics, and back to the things that they know and loved from when they were younger. Gold and red are set to be the colours of Christmas this year. This creates a stunning, timeless look in your home, and really ties everything together with a wonderful Christmas bow.
It’s common that you would see these kinds of colours in the past, but we’re bringing them back this year as they are beautiful for this season. Gold adds the element of luxury that many people are hoping to achieve, while red has always been a firm Christmas favourite. There’s just no other colours that we could think of that would be better suited for 2023.
The Natural Look
Anika Pannu
We’re embracing the natural look this year. A lot of people are going to be decorating with a nature-inspired theme behind them. This might be the time to add more plants to your home if you can get away with it, bringing a little bit of outside, inside! More people than ever are going to be looking for nature themed items for their home, such as wreaths made of leaves and branches! There are so many different ways to make this look incredible, with some colours added and a sprinkle of sparkle bringing out the potential in anything!
If you’re hoping to achieve the natural look, then you want to go for deep greens, warm caramels, golds and others like this. Don’t forget the striking red to stand out against all of the other colours you choose to use. Greens are definitely in this year!
Pinks Are In This Year
Whether you want to go for a refined kind of pink, a subtle pink, or more of a blush pink, or even if you want to go all the way and choose a darker pink, pink is one of the colours that is seeing more action this year. Not typically associated with Christmas but a wonderful addition to a family Christmas decor! Try pink, and we wonder if you’ll ever go back.
We hope that you have found this helpful, and now have a better understanding of some of the hottest family Christmas decor themes for 2022. Hopefully you can use this as inspiration, and if any of the ideas on this list have caught your eye, perhaps you can try them out this year!
